Where there is a will, there is a way

"Where there is a will, there is a way”

As we are passing through this Covid arena we are witnessing many sad things and very few pleasant things.

A day started with a phone call from a friend: Sir, You know Mrxxxxx my friend his father and mother were admitted to XXxxxx hospital for covid treatment and there is the call from the hospital that his mother is critical please come immediately. He asked how can he help his friend in this situation. The conversation lasted for 4 minutes.

After an hour he called and informed his friends' mother died and only his friend is allowed to go in. with all formalities and covid protocol the cremation was over on the same day.

The next day morning got up and saw a WhatsApp message posted by his friend that his father too expired. Cremation has been done on the same day.

After three days my friend calls me again asking for help to get the details of a place where post-death rituals are been done for Hindu people. the place is 10 km from where I work. As we all know it's the lockdown period and going there to know the details is not very much advised.

I have contacted Mrxxxx Secretary of our association who is a Christian but has strong contact with a Muslim in that particular area. through him, we made sure that their rituals are been booked on the specific date they intended. on penultimate day evening, our secretary calls and tells that the place where these rituals are done is locked by govt due to precautions. but his Muslim friend caught hold of a person and arranged a priest. As per the plan, everything went on well and they are happy that they could do rituals for their parents in a satisfactory manner.

At this lockdown, we could help our friend Hindu person through a Christain friend and a Muslim friend.

It all happened because of good social relationships with people.

Let's network with others that will help us and also for others in needy times.

  1. Rightly said. We do not know who comes handy during our difficult times. Let's realise this atleast now. Let's be kind to everyone and love one another as our own. Covid has taught us many things. Rich and the poor, powerful and the meek all have to stoop down one day before death. Let's help others care for others and spread love and not hatred. Save mankind.

  2. With due respects 🙏, why can't people avoid cliches like M helps C helps H? the division widens when one starts identifying the background of the people. Particularly people from minority groups take pride & publicise the 'normal'. This has been the ethos of this land, always! - otherwise many cultures would not have thrived leave alone co-existed.

  3. I Respect your view consideringcurrentscenario. But it happened truly like that, hence I quoted it.

    1. With due regards, do you consider the patient's background when they come to you for treatment? Never, it is a noble duty of a doctor. Likewise, as a citizen of this great land (sanatani) had never discriminated on basis of one's history. My regards to you for timely help irrespective of one's background, that is your virtue. My only observation - why should some colour be assigned instead u could have directly named them as individuals rather than what ilk they belong? I am sorry if I have gone overboard, may you continue with your noble deeds.
